The problem
- Your team logs time in Harvest, outside Jira. That leaves your Jira worklogs, estimates and client reports incomplete.
- What's missing is an automatic, scheduled sync with user mapping. Without it, someone has to run imports by hand, and repeated runs can create duplicate worklogs.
- So someone ends up reconciling timesheets by hand, or people log the same time twice.
What v1 will do (planned)
- Connect Harvest with a personal access token and your Harvest account ID.
- Scheduled sync: it checks Harvest for entries changed since the last run and creates or updates the matching Jira worklogs, keeping the original date, duration and author.
- User matching by email, plus an entry-ID-to-worklog-ID table, so the same entry is never logged twice.
- Issue matching, in order: an issue key in the entry notes (e.g.
ABC-123), then your Harvest project + task → Jira project/issue rules. - Unmatched-entries queue: anything that doesn't match waits here. Assign it to an issue in one click and, if you like, save that choice as a rule.
- Backfill any past date range.
- Runs on Atlassian Forge, inside your Jira Cloud site.
What v1 will not do
- No timers. It only syncs time already logged in Harvest.
- No Jira → Harvest sync. It only works one way, Harvest to Jira.
- No Clockify or other time trackers.
Who it's for
- Agencies and software consultancies with roughly 10–100 Jira Cloud users that invoice from Harvest.
- Teams whose staff log time in the Harvest web, desktop or mobile apps instead of inside Jira.
- The ops lead or project manager who currently reconciles timesheets against Jira.
Not a fit if you're on Jira Data Center/Server, need two-way sync, or want timers inside Jira.

FAQ
Where will my Harvest token be stored?
The plan is to keep it in Forge's encrypted app storage on your own Atlassian site. v1 will only need read-only access to Harvest. It reads time entries and never changes them.
What if we leave Harvest?
Before delivery, ask for a full refund. After delivery, you can cancel any time on the Atlassian Marketplace.
Does it work if people already log some time in Jira?
The sync only creates or updates worklogs that come from Harvest entries, tracked by the ID table. It won't touch worklogs people added directly in Jira. If someone logs the same time in both places, you'll still see both.
What happens to entries with no issue key and no rule?
They go to the unmatched-entries queue. An admin assigns each one to an issue in one click and can save that choice as a rule for future entries.
We have more than 25 Jira users. Can we still pre-order?
The founding price covers up to 25 users. If you have more, email me before paying and I'll tell you honestly what it would cost.
Is this an official Harvest or Atlassian product?
No. It's an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Harvest, Bending Spoons or Atlassian.
